About ETC Productions

Erin Schwab and Emily Villano have been Collaborative Partners working in Educational Theater since 2012.

Both Emily and Erin are Native Minnesotans, growing up in St. Paul and St. Louis Park. Starting at McNally Smith College of Music, Erin and Emily have worked together for years as Teaching Artists, Directors, Musical Directors as well as Creative and Technical Staff with Steppingstone Theatre, Youth Performance Company, Stages Theater Company, Children’s Theatre Company, Ashland Productions, Lakeshore Players Theatre, Moreland Elementary School, Garlough Elementary School, JJ Hill Elementary School, Eagan High School and currently, with Apple Valley High School.

In August of 2020, in partnership with Steppingstone Theatre, Erin and Emily produced The Little Mermaid JR as a way to give students an artistic outlet during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Students performed outdoors, in masks. They continued in October of 2020 in partnership with Lakeshore Players Theatre to continue to offer performance opportunities for young people. In October of 2020, they produced an outdoor production of The Addams Family Young@Part.

The Summer of 2021 the tour concept was born with our production of Schoolhouse Rock Live JR, in collaboration with Lakeshore Players Theatre.

The ETC Summer Tour as it exists today began in 2022 in partnership with Apple Valley High School, previous productions include: Seussical JR (2022) and Madagascar JR (2023).

The ETC Summer Tour travels across the metro area and beyond. All public performances are outdoors and free to the public. This is theater by young people, for young people. All Touring Company members are ages 15-19 and paid a per show stipend for their work.
